Moving around!

Matt was up and in his chair when Aunt Jill got to the hospital this morning!  He had been there since earlier in the morning and stayed for quite a while!  The doctor came in and was pleased with Matt's progress.  The doctor stated that his swelling was coming down and would continue to go down as Matt's kidneys were working well.  Also, if Matt feels ready, he will begin to have solid foods tomorrow and they think he will be able to move to a regular room on Wednesday.  Matt told the doctor he was feeling better.  Awesome!!

  1. Matt, After going through heart surgery, you are dealing with so many things, mentally & physically there is so much to process. The bypass machine messes with your mind. I had a lot of trouble with that. Somedays I couldn't think of the word I wanted to say. The best medicine is having your family be supportive and be there for you. I am happy for you to have that new heart. Everyone needs to realize you might not be the exact Matt that you were before surgery. Accept whatever personality Matt has, he is still a great guy and has endured a lot. Hang in there. Have someone keep a diary, it was interesting to go back and read what Kyr had recorded for me. Hope your pain level is getting better, I slept through most of that part. Everyday is a gift! Love you and think of you everyday.
