We are going to try and limit them to one visit a day, but the calendar is open! Call Matt to get directions, he is at Aunt Suzy's house.
Also- We have opened up the donations. To start, he needs prayer so the donation of your time spent in prayer is most important. If you feel led to give, please do so. Any amount is appreciated! This money will go to help Matt with medical expenses due to his transplant.
Thank you!
Aimee
Matt has been suffering from dilated cardiomyopathy for many years. He is getting ready to have a heart transplant. This blog will update his progress.
Donations
We appreciate every donation no matter how big or small! If you would like to donate, please click HERE!
All checks need to have Matt A. Davis written on them as there are TWO with the same name.
A sincere thank you to the following people and to those on the scrolling list found at the link to the donation site:
If you sent your donation directly to the foundation without using the direct link above, we do not have your name to put on the blog, so THANK YOU to those people as well, whomever you are! :) Check out the donation site as it has more rolling names of those who have donated!

YAY!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteMatt, we think of you daily. Just exactly what are those medical expenses, and what is the breakdown.
ReplyDeleteHi Aunt Judie,
DeleteWe do not exactly, but here is what they say on the foundation site. FACT: The cost of immunosuppressive medications typically ranges from $20,600 to $32,900 per year and even with insurance, co-pays can be unaffordable.
Fundraising is a matter of life and death for some transplant candidates, and a matter of quality of life for others.
The gatransplant.org website has more information if you want to check it out. They control the funds and how they are released. It is for medicines, and doctor visits associated with the transplant. If for some reason Matt does not get a transplant, the funds will be absorbed by the foundation for people in a similar situation as Matt. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Aimee, thanks for the info. Uncle Rod talked to your mom and to Matt a couple of days ago. We are so relieved that Matt is doing better, and is comfortable again.
DeleteAimee, my twin brother Caleb and I went to high school with Matt. They wrestled together. We love being able to see how he is doing through your post and continue to pray for you all. I also wanted to let you know that Chili's does "Give Back" events. They will donate 10% of whatever sales you bring in for your event. You just have to have a tax ID number so they can cut you a check afterward. Give the location at webb gin or loganville a call and I am sure they would help you out.
